Practical Joke # 123

My neighbor was the light -hearted sort and we always played around. One day when my dad came in with all of his dirty clothes stuffed into one pair of pants I realized that I could make a scarecrow out of them! My mom was constantly worried about me crawling out of the window at night and it gave me an idea when she mentioned something about that very thing on the same night.

I knew I would probably face certain death if I pulled it on mom (due to the results of other pranks that she fell victim to in the past) so I decided that it was too good to waste and I thought my light- hearted neighbor was the perfect victim! I made a make shift dummy and stuffed it into his garage window, made a bunch of noise, and ran like hell!

He came out of the house, and seeing someone crawling in his window, he ran in back in the house and called the cops! The cop was kinda mad but he chuckled with his partner when he left. I was watching from my roof as the whole thing unfolded…It’s a wonder I didn’t fall off laughing. I definitely would have deserved it that night. I’m just thankful no one found out( for sure)who did it for several years. The neighbor suspected me but he thought it might have just been some of the other neighborhood kids having fun too so he just rolled with it! (His wife thought it was hysterically funny, I noticed, as she told the story to my other neighbor in our drive way) What a way to stir up the neighborhood!

Had a bit of the devil in you, didn’t you! 🙂

My son pulled his own sort of pranks. After the fact, we all laugh. We want our kids to be spirited after all …

Thanks for this. Good Sunday smile …
