Rise… For You Must Shine

Breath flows in and out…

the perfect time is coming about.

Your blood is flowing .

Your heart is growing faster by the minute.

There won’t be a show without you in it.

You are the master of these three rings.

and without you…

Its true that time won’t stand still…

but without you…

There won’t be any thrill!

You make the magic come together

in your actions and your words

The time has come for you to be heard!

The spotlights on and the crowd cheers

you’re weak in the knees…

But cast your fears!

You are the one for which they wait in line.

Rise like the sun for you must shine!

you know those kind of words/texts/songs/etc that you feel somehow address you when you first lay eyes upon them? 🙂 this is how i felt when i first read this…not because of me being “the one for which they wait in line” or things like that, but because for some reason your words boosted my self-confidence, in relation to everything going on in my life :). and for that i have to thank you.

That is exactly what I am going for…as for being the one for which they wait in line. We all are to some degree and to varying extents but this is not exactly or necessarily referring to people, events that cause us to rise to an occasion also and the things we do leading up to that event is sort of like lining or leading up to grand finally. So go forth and shine because I’m cheering you on!

I like the Rise and Shine, very inspirational, even if I’m not a star. Maybe I could be????
    Thank you

Everyone is a legend…even if it is only in their own mind (as in my case). If you ever have a task that you are nervous about think of these words. Even if you don’t get in front of crowds realize that even those that do…. get nervous too and in doing so they do it for everyone. You must perform to accomplish what you set out to do and you will when you take it with the right attitude. Yes you can be a star if that is truly what you want to do. But you must ask yourself …What is it that I want most? until you have the proper answer everyone’s is different. Peace be with you.

Amazing poem, you really bring out that feeling well, which we all feel before we have a big task in front of us.

Yes, psyching oneself up to perform really well – or do something really dangerous! Excellently described, 2zpoint.

    Great inspiration.
    Picture too is nice compliment.
I personally prefer steady growth to wait for opportune moments.
    Inspired by the thought.

Sometimes people feel like they are not ready for things that they were meant their whole lives to do. When the time comes they must seize the moment for it is natural as the rising sun. Capabilities often are born of necessity and many people are trapped in the feeling that they do not have them. Your are right to grow at a steady rate and by all means wait for opportune moments but when it is opportune you must take it regardless of how you feel. If it was meant to be you will survive and even thrive. It is all part of the same growing process. Peace be with you Doc!

Great poem. It is hard to capture the emotional intensity of succeeding in a positive light that doesn’t come of being pedantic and I think you did it perfectly here. As someone who has worked the theater for many years it but right back stage again…

  24. November 7, 2010 12:17 am

    how are you?

    reminding you silly and same stuff;

    return favors,
    do 18 NEW….
let me know after you are done.

  25. November 7, 2010 7:22 pm

I took this as a reason to get out of bed. Can you imagine saying this to yourself every morning. The pure inspiration at the importance of your being would truly inspire you to do great things!

    I loved it!
