Dreaming about Christmas

Soft songs and sweet smells in the air.
Warm does the fire burn.
All work is done and the night glows quietly.
My belly is full, I haven’t a yearn…
in my heart, and my mood suits me rightly.
Times like these come very few…
It is at very least a dream come true.
But why must it come to only a few?
So before my eyes I see anew!
My dream reaches through the night
and peace fills all for that moment…
everyone fills the same thing I feel and the calm of my Christmas dream
sends the light of an eternal theme
through every heart… all at once
Through every scholar and touching even the dunce.
From every baby to even the oldest, lifting the weak and humbling the boldest.
One beat for all this Christmas night… a dream of peace on earth fulfilled.
My mind is full as well it seems… to have such great Christmas dreams
As I sleep in holiday delight may my dream come true for you as well.
Is it a dream…or is it real only your heart can tell.

If I had to pick, I’d say I like the first seven lines the best.
