Beneath a Lover’s Moon

March 10, 2014

Beneath a lovers moon,Beneath a Lover's Moon

Your eyes tell me the story of your soul.

Approaching me in ethereal light,

you charge me with your wondrous glow.

Softly, you come ever more near… first one step,

then two,

swaying with each step of your bare feet on sand.

Ever closer I take your hand…

Two silhouettes embrace as you are romanced

like a song or tune to the beat of your heart,

played by breath on your skin.

With moments that make that ticker flutter,

and even stop, as your body shudders

…at the feelings left by the tremble of your legs, and sweat’s shiver

as the breeze comes off of the water touching us both,

…wrapped in the nights embrace because we’re dancing in a tangle,

the feeling happens and it is in that moment,

it is realized that this moment will never come again

nor has it ever been before

…even beneath a Lover’s Moon.

Beautifully written and such heartfelt words, Stuart, for such love we were born, ethereal maybe but worth every seconds breath. xPenx…

Thank you Lady P, I wrote part of this starting as a humorous reply as to what I thought of romance or to be romantic was…then thought, wait a minute! After some more thought I went ahead and wrote it down and finished it out. Odd how some things come but I’m enjoying this one. I hope that you have a great day! ~Stuart

Lovely visual poem, 2zpoint! You are so right. Every moment, every second is unique. The mood, our surroundings, sounds, smells, etc. all combine to make them once-in-a-lifetime and we can never re-create them. They are gone forever. The sadness is that we appreciate them too late.

TY! Denise. I got the inspiration pondering the thought of romance and decided it wasn’t the roses or words but the action that needed to be felt and this is where it took me. LOL! I hope you are having a great day! HUGS!
