My Thought On Time
Time can be given and taken away.
It seems like these days one must work 10 hours…
just for one hour of play.
Everyone has time but usually none to spare…
because they are busy with things for which they care.
The amazing thing that I see…
is that many people are willing to spend their time
watching stars living life on things like TV…
but they won’t devote a single minute to being who they would really like to be.
Everyone has only so much time …but wasting it?
… well it’s certainly their’s to do
but it becomes such a tragedy …only when life is through.
A few will do amazing things …
and spend their time harvesting what life brings.
While most will watch what others do and donate their time to watching the few.
And the craziest thing of all …
is the fact that the many call this waste entertainment.
I call this waste self unfulfilling debrainment.
I look around and see the way people dress and know that they waste time too.
They dress like others in crazy trends, jersey’s,and what ever is new…
Because they are willing to follow what others do.
Time is donated to listening without a clue
that their time is slipping right through…
their hands.
It never comes back and it’s always running out
Just as it has reading this.
May your time be spent as you wish…peace be with you.

Time, such a precious commodity, slightly under valued I think… as so much seems wasted.
I really enjoyed your thoughts on time…It’s time management I can’t abide, trying to do things in the shortest possible time, so the enjoyment seeps out and necessity creeps in without you noticing it… A happy balance is needed I think… 😀

May your time be also spent as you wish.. and peace be with you too..
Wishing you a wonderful year ahead Dear One..
Sending you warm wishes and loads of Love xoxox
“Unfulfilling debrainment” indeed, 2zpoint – perhaps, some of us would rather not think about what to do with our time as it makes us face up to the fact that it is finite…
finite and used to watch what others do instead of cutting our own path seems tragic to me…yet how often do we as people do that very thing and then we wonder what happened to our lives when its over.
Very nice one!
Thank you for the visit:-)
True words…rather unfortunate even the wise waste time sometimes, I guess it’s human nature. But over wasting it requires a serious check…and the celebrity thingy, well, I hope for a revolution that sees beyond gimmicks and fake promo. Thoughtful post.
Meanwhile, Happy New Year,
Cheers!
It’s good to see you my friend…I am just amazed by fans and their devotion to crap that doesn’t really matter. A little helps us all unwind but the double edged sword that it is beg the question: What would we be like if we devoted that same time to being great instead of watching others do so…I would care to bet there would be some amazing surprises in store for many. May you year be one of greatness Emmanuel…Peace be with you!
I agree with you here.
Though just one thing,
I have ambition to be one of those stars, if everyone was busy trying to better themselves i’d never get my mass audience. lol
I really enjoyed this poem, and i happy to have spent my time here. lol 😀
I note your exception taken! may you have droves people donating their time to you Richard! lol! hilarious…definitely wasn’t expecting that! I am honored by the way you’ve spent your time…Thank you!
Very interesting point raised.
I sometimes wonder- What is waste or utilized?
Is achieving targets, accumulating knowledge, money, power etc success or utilizing time?
Is enjoying in whichever way one finds it convenient a waste of time?
Sometimes I think about myself.
Though I am busy whole day, but real surgical hours are not more then 4-5 hours a day. Rest of is seeing and talking to patients and related administration.
I spent time surfing unrelated blogs, lately fancied with writing poetry too.
Which is wasted and which is utilized is a big confusion.
Money, proprty papers keep accumulating, which I don’t think my son is going to use. Third generation is yet to arrive. Whether it is going to spoil that generation is a big question.
Time in itself will pass on. Whichever way one is convenient with, one spends it.
Enjoyed the read. Very Happy and Prosperous New Year.
Hey Doc. I think you’ll find that the writing of a piece of your mind is never time wasted but time that is spent for others to share in what you know. No better time is spent than that of giving. Your children may one day read your words or you may help someone have a little better life through inspiration. I believe that these things will make this world better for us all to some degree. Peace be with you Doc!
The plain hard facts of life in the herd
can be very difficult to chew and swallow. Gulp!
Look at all the punch lines here!
“I call this waste self unfulfilling debrainment.”
Couldn’t agree with you more, although Richard
does bring up a good point…just on this side of idol worship. 😉
This was well thought out, Stuart!
I see nothing more to add. Kudos to you! And “Cheerz!” UT
i share your views. some breathe and some live.
Stopped by to see what’s new..
Dear one, you are being missed.. no new carvings or owls for me..?
I read this one yet another time and kind of not help myself from smiling big- yeah! I kind of think likewise. I wonder how come they can keep themselves consumed in watching lifeless images.. Then again- such are people..
Hugs n wishes
