The 2zpoint view on Racism

In regard to the subject of racism,It always seems like  people either avoid the  subject like a cemetery at midnight or seek to fight and hurt others over it. People wear their feelings on their sleeves because of inequalities that they see the other side has or they don’t want someone else of another race out doing them or making them feel inadequate.

Let me clarify something here…just like high school most people say that they were picked on, bullied, or made fun of in some way or other, some overcame that issue, others crumbled under the weight of that same set of problems. This is not high school any longer, yet the same games are being played. Now, it is not “He/She wears better clothes than me” or “He/She is skinnier than me” . It is “he/she has more than me” or “he/she gets paid more than I ever will”. The same thing all over again (call it what you will). The seven deadly sins Greed, Lust, Envy, Sloth, Gluttony,Wrath, and Pride consume us all and then we seek to blame others for our own problems.

I seek to inspire others to pursue their dreams because you had better believe that I am! I want everyone to be able to do so…there is more than enough to go around for every one and all it takes is all you’ve  got. Give others love and respect, work toward your dreams, communicate your problems getting to your goals, and don’t stop till you get there. It seems simple on paper, it is not easy and I know it, but I have faith that every thing is done in perfect time (not necessarily our time). If you pursue your dreams, with all you’ve got,  you will succeed or realize that it was not what you truly wanted. People don’t have to rely on what others are saying or doing, inspirational success stories are all around us. As long as you can imagine something, and do what is necessary to achieve it, you can do it!…it is that simple.

Words said out of hate can not stop actions done in the name of love…actions done with passion. If you let a word define you, cut you… ‘deeper than a wound’ as I’ve heard it said. You can count on that cut dragging you to hell because of foolish pride and possibly other sins that try to bind you. It is amazing to me to realize the power that cutting words can have over people. I ask you to reach within yourself and find that life defining love that will hold on to a dream and have enough love to realize most people do not wish to harm you. Seek to have the same love that small children have because they don’t try to be mean to each other when they play…they just play with each other and have fun because the don’t know any better. I ask you could it be that we know too much for our own good? In my heart I believe we do.

I have said my piece and this is my point of view. It is not something open for debate please understand that this is just my view point…on my blog. May those who think differently tell their view on their own site. Peace be with you.

I have a perfect maxim..’Do as you would be done by’… (I’m not saying I’m perfect just that the maxim is.. 😉 ) and it’s worked so far. I read The Water Babies as a kid and loved it so much I have never forgotten it…or the messages contained there-in

Whatever creed or colour we are all striving to live as best we can with the cards we are dealt , whether or not we improve on our own particular situation is up to us…
Enjoyed reading your thoughts, thank you…xPenx

I agree with you Lady P but there are people that can not see this simple fact and they are lost in hatred. It is a crying shame too because they have no idea what they are doing to them selves and others. I could not believe some of the thing I read about the Arizona shooting. It was a tragedy yet every day it is being used to push racial issues or gun law issues or what ever political agenda that can be contrived. There are even idiot that are going to protest the funeral of the 9 year old girl who died. It is the same things that form racism and every other bad thing that come along, the 7 deadly sins. People don’t even realized that they are falling into the same traps that other have. I only hope these thoughts of mine help at least one person see a little clearer. Thank you for your comment it is precious and I am so glad to see you! Peace be with you.

Thank you so much for the invite, Stuart, but I have just so much spare time and it’s usually taken up with my Blogger and WordPress sites, that I’ve never considered opening a Facebook page. (Bess would kill me too, she’s always sitting by the PC with a stop watch!! 😉 ) … Good luck with your endeavours , sounds like a great way to link up with like minded people…xPenx

Since I love reading you, I can’t stop myself from commenting too.

I will call racism as when some persons are favored by those in power because of same race.

This is one of the discripencies that does exist in most of the societies.

Sufferer has no choice but to protest, point out, prove it and get justice done or indure it.

    Nice reading you. PBWY

Racism according towordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn:# the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races
      # discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of another race
going by this definition, You are right it in what you say…it is discrimination and people should stand up for their beliefs I agree with that as well but when it come to the belief that one is superior to another …it is kind like saying that a race is not adequately able to stand up for itself when laws are bent to handicap others who are not of that race. It seems like the laws that bend for the few are deeming them inferior by existing but it really inflames people on both side of the issue because of the 7 deadly sins. If people would worry more about what they do and a whole lot less about what others have this world would be a whole lot less stressful. Thank you for your comment Doc I appreciate it…and I am honered by it because I jnow you’re busy Take care!

With this one, I believe a simple “Amen!” will suffice. 🙂
I’m not about to argue with the likes of you, my friend.

People often forget that we are all part of the HUMAN race.
Excellent post here and a very good subject to talk about.
True, racism often is a touchy issue

    Amen.

Ah, I love this post! You echo my feelings exactly! I have always been against racism, or inequality in any way. Everyone is born with gifts, and we have no right to shower others with our venom. I don’t understand what difference it makes if X and Y belong to different religions, or are part of different countries. What difference does it make if X and Y have class differences, if one gets paid more or less? Aren’t we all human at the end of the day? I live in a place where there is a lot of diversity, and a lot of class differences, yet I believe we can all coexist in peace.

As for achieving dreams, what you said cannot be said better. We are the master of our own destiny, and we can work hard and make our dreams come true. No point sitting around and cribbing about it.

Very profound thoughts, I feel very strongly for what you’ve said 🙂 Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you for your support! you are a great friend. These things that I have said come straight from bathing in others “venom” as you say. I was picked on by a political group with an agenda on twitter and put into the middle of a debate. In the end there was nothing left to say because I spoke the truth…Then I read their tweets today and they still write inflammatory remarks to instill hate between races…Oh well, my words will endure. Peace be with you!

    A very well chosen subject!
I liked how you said that the others reflect their point of view at their site..
Just a while I was pondering about a similar nibbling issue. The problem exists everywhere, it only changes name according to the place. If you look closely, most of us have been affected at some or the other time.
I sincerely hope that things change for betterment.. 🙂

    Hugs xx

LOL…I love the shut-out you put at the end for anti-views. Everything boils down to humanity and understanding its principles. It’s simple, you know.

    Bless!
